The Economist magazine hosted a GenAI panel a couple of weeks ago to which I was invited. It really was a pleasure to participate in this panel.
Henry Tricks, who writes the Schumpeter column, was the moderator at this event. (Joseph Schumpeter was the economist who wrote about creative destruction in industries and innovation, so quite appropriate!)
My fellow panelists were Lisa Kant from Zendesk and Musab Abdullah from the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB). Alyssa Lefaivre Škopac was also part of the panel as the Acting Executive Director of Responsible AI Institute. They all had great insights coming at the topic from different angles.
We explored the velocity at which GenAI is developing, and Henry was incisive in asking us who stands to benefit most from this big tech wave. He’s great at elevating the conversation. It’s clear we need moreli this GenAi Panel with a diversity of stakeholders to build trust as we continue to adopt GenAI widely (and hopefully wisely).
